"Fiat" announced commencement of production of "punto" in Kragujevac in March - production of minimum 15,000 automobiles in 2009

Italian company "Fiat" announced on January 30th that it would start production of "punto" automobiles in Kragujevac in March.

- According to the agreement that was signed in Torino by the Government of Serbia and "Fiat", the production in 2009 would amount to minimum 15,000 automobiles - the Ministry of Economy and Regional DEvelopment of Serbia announced.

- The volume of production will depend "on the market terms in the world because that automobile will not be made only for Serbian market, but also for export to neighboring countries, north Africa and Russia - said Gualberto Ranieri, the Vice President for Communications in "Fiat".
