Construction of factory "Reum" in Svilajnac is running late – completion of works expected on April 1st

The factory of car parts of German company "Reum GMBH", which is under construction in Svilajnac, will not be completed as planned, prior to March 1st.

- The delivery of building material is underway and, as soon as the weather allows, the works on the facility of production unit will be resumed – said Gorica Dimčić – Tasić, the Mayor of Svilajnac, to the press at the building site.

The Mayor of Svilajnac and the President of German factory, Rolf Riter, estimated that the works, which were running late because of the bad weather and coldness, would be finished one month later than planned. It was said on that occasion that "Reum GmbH" would stay consistent with the contract on construction in Svilajnac and that it was already preparing the new group of workers for training in Germany.

Municipality of Svilajnac allotted 5 ha of land equipped with complete infrastructure to German company free of charge, while "Reum GmbH" promised to invest 10m EUR in construction of the factory and to employ 325 workers.

The factory in Svilajnac will be producing plastic parts for air conditioning systems in automobiles, which will be exported to Germany and EU countries. German partner also intends to establish cooperation with "Fiat", which is supposed to start production in "Zastava" in Kragujevac.
