Formation of Serbian Businessmen Club in Salzburg proposed

The General Consulate of Serbia in Salzburg has organized a meeting of the owners of private companies of Serbian origin from Salzburg, aiming to incite business people who might help in attracting investors interested in investing in Serbia.

The plan is to determine whether there’s a basis for the formation of a Businessmen Club that might promote Serbia as a potential investment destination, but also use mutual communication to expand their business.

Owners of companies with 40 to 50 employees have shown considerable interest in expanding their business through investments in Serbia. They claim that they also have contacts among Austrian companies that might also be interested in investing or those that might at least point to the advantages of investing in Serbia.

It was agreed at the meeting for them to define more closely which form of cooperation they are the most interested in through a questionnaire provided by the Consulate.

The Consulate plans to estimate, after several such meetings, whether there are enough interested people for the organization of the presentation of Serbia’s potential for investments, which would he held by representatives of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, and whether there are enough companies interested in forming the Businessmen Club.

If such an association were formed, it would also be a good basis for helping Serbian businessmen looking to sell their products in Austria, since businessmen in Austria have numerous contacts, but also plenty of useful information about the possibilities of expanding one’s operations to that area.
