German Development Bank to approve 75m EUR worth of loan for Serbian economy sector

- German Development Bank KfW will sign the contract tomorrow (January 27, 2009) with five banks in Serbia for allotment of credit line worth 75m EUR for financing of small and mid-sized enterprises and local self-governments - National Bank of Serbia (NBS) announced.

According to the announcement, 30m EUR from the credit line approved by the Government of Germany are intended for crediting of implementation of infrastructural projects through Banca Intesa.

Remaining 45m EUR are intended for financing of small and mid-sized enterprises in the domain of energy efficiency, and the loans will be approved through Čačanska banka, Raiffeisen bank, Volksbank and ProCredit Leasing.

The contract will be signed in the presence of the Governor of the National Bank of Serbia, Radovan Jelašić, the CEO of KfW for Europe and Kavkaz, Rolland Siller, German Ambassador to Belgrade, Wolfram Maas, as well as the representatives of business banks.
