State-owned stocks of "Sloboda aparati" on auction

The Government of Serbia agreed at the end of year 2008 to sell part of the state-owned capital (28.42%) in Cačak-based factory "Sloboda aparati" on public auction. The CEO of that company, Zoran Bogićević, said that the conditions were met for the Privatization Agency to schedule the auction, and he hoped that that company would be sold in the first half of the year.

- That is important because it will make it possible for the future potential majority owner to take over the majority package of stocks – said Bogićević.

He said in the statement for čačak’s TV station "Telemark" that the date of the auction would be determined by the Privatization Agency. The Government’s decision was welcomed by the representatives of trade union organizations in "Sloboda aparati”.

This company currently uses only 10% of its capacities. Its 256 workers are receiving minimum wage of about 13,000 RSD.
