First energy-efficient "research house" in Valjevo - 85% of works completed

The Energy Efficiency Agency of Republic of Serbia and Association of Researchers "Vladimir Mandić – Manda" from Valjevo have established cooperation in work on the ”research house” development project. Namely, the Energy Efficient Agency is willing to provide expert help to young researchers for the sake of application of systems and technologies that can contribute to reduction of energy consumption in future exploitation and use of the "research house".

The two parties agreed at the first meeting that the possibility of introduction of measures, which would contribute to reduction of electricity consumption through, in this case, the use of solar panels, would be taken in consideration.

The intention of the Association of Researchers is to make the “research house” in Valjevo a case study for application of principle of energy efficiency in civil engineering through use of solar energy, as well as an example of “good practice and initiative” for greater use of energy from renewable sources.

Construction of the research house was financed from donations and funds from the National Investment Plan and, according to the website of the Association of Researchers, 85% of works on the house have already been finished.
