Crnogorski Telekom to expand business to transport – Company to procure tourist trains for Biogradsko Lake

The telecom company Crnogorski Telekom (CT) has decided to expand its business to tourism transport.

At a tender of the Ministry of Tourism and Sustainable Development, that is, the Public Works Directorate, for the procurement of two tourist trains for the transport of guests between Kraljevo Kolo and Biogradsko Lake in the municipality of Kolasin, the offer of CT was selected as the best one.

According to the data from the Central Register of Business Entities, CT is registered for cable telecom activities. Experts from the Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (EKIP), consulted by Vijesti unofficially, said that they would not have anything against CT selling popcorn, for that matter.

The procurement pertains to vehicles outside the traffic network, and CT offered them at the price of around EUR 550,000 with VAT. The decision on the selection of the best bidder was signed on June 4, 2018, by the director of the Public Works Directorate, Almer Kalac. The decision was announced a day later.

The deadline for the realization of the agreement is 200 days from the signing of the procurement agreement.

Trains made by Deltrain

CT submitted the authorization by the Portuguese company Deltrain S.A. to the Public Works Directorate, confirming its right to sell the company's original products. As proof of meeting the general terms of the tender, the bidder submitted a statement of servicing the offered vehicles, a statement on securing the guarantee of quality of the offered vehicles, the technical characteristics of the offered tourist train, and the technical description of the train with photographic documents. As the Public Works Directorate determined, these documents prove that the bidder has met the general terms of the tender.
