Starting in June, a local TV station in a Chinese city in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region will feature a robot as a TV anchor.

The robot, which weighs 29 kilograms and is 1.21 meters tall, will be working at TV Nanning as an anchor beginning with June 6.

Chao Neng Xiao Bai, as the robot is called, can also dance. It can run for up to 12 hours on a single charge.

Chinese authorities believe that the AI industry is the new driving engine.
