International School of Belgrade to build new facility in Kosutnjak – Opening planned for August 2021

The International School of Belgrade (ISB) and Avala Studios have signed the Declaration of Intent regarding the construction of a new campus and facility within the ISB.

As the ISB says for our portal, the campus, which will be located next to Avala Studios in Kosutnjak, will feature modern facilities and courts, which will take up around 5.3 hectares and have a capacity of 550 to 600 students.

– There will be 18,000 square meters of indoor space, which will include a cafeteria with capacity of 300 persons, a theater with seating for 280 persons, two indoor sport halls, spacious library and common spaces, and an outdoor full-size football pitch. The average size of classrooms will be about 90 square meters – the ISB explains.

The contractor is not yet known, and the investor doesn't want to discuss the financial details of the investment for now.

They say for our portal that they expect the school to be moved to the new premises in the next 3-5 years.

– We hope to move into the new facilities in August 2021 – the ISB points out.

Rob Risch, Director of the ISB, said that this was great news for all current and future students, as the new school would feature the most modern facilities, providing various additional possibilities to each of them.

The Declaration of Intent was signed at the ISB Spring Fair, an annual celebration of the multi-cultural community of ISB, in the presence of diplomatic corps and members of the ISB Board of Trustees.
