Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced that the Law on Temporary Reduction of Pensions would be repealed, which, as he says, will lead to an increase in pensions by 10.4 to 13.3% compared to 2014.

Vucic said that he would love for the Government to be able to implement this beginning with November and certainly from the next year and added that the decision was mutual, based on economic parameters, but also political, supported by both Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and him as the president, as well as the majority of the society.

– The IMF will be satisfied as well – Vucic said.

He announced that pensions up to RSD 25,000 would be increased by 13.3% compared to 2014 and those from RSD 30,000 by 10.4%. These pensions are the most numerous ones and are paid to 1.1 million people.

Those with pensions of RSD 120,000 will have their pensions increased by the smallest percentage, 8.4%, compared to 2014, Vucic said following the tour of the works on the construction of the bridge on the Sava and the Kolubara in Obrenovac on Corridor 11.

Let us remind that, early this month, the IMF suggested to government representatives to repeal the temporary crisis measures for pensioners, that is, the Law on Temporary Reduction of Pensions, which has been in effect for four years now.
