French credits for regional water supply systems in 7 municipalities in Central Serbia - €25m

French Government will approve credit of €25m, through company “Veolia vodosistem“, for realization of the project for regional water supply of municipalities of Kruševac, Trstenik, Aleksandrovac, Ćićevac, Varvarin, Ćuprija and Paraćin.
This French company performed the final expert opinion of the project, and the final ideal technical solution of the addition building of the existing water factory, as well as the construction of a new water factory in Majdev, near Kruševac, will be presented on September 15th.
The Project of the regional water supply includes the expansion of the capacities of the water factory in Majdev, from the current 650 l to 1000 l of water per second.
The plan implies that Kruševac’s “Vodovod” (plumbing) become the regional center for water supplying the territory, inhabited by 300,000 people, and the expanded and newly-built capacities will supply about 560,000 users with quality drinking water.
The credit from the French Government will enable the regulation of wastewater and precipitations, as well as the regulation of all water currents of the Rasina River.
The credit arrangement, through the company “Veolia vodosistem”, with Kruševac’s public utility company “Vodovod”, includes a grace period of 10 years and an interest rate of 2-3%.
