New changes and supplements to General Plan of Belgrade – accent on development of space for commercial parks in city suburbs

Agricultural land alongside the new bypass around Belgrade, near Batajnica and Surčin, and Belgrade-Pančevo road will be transformed into land for construction of commercial parks. These provisions are included in the Draft changes and supplements to General Land-utilization Plan of Belgrade (phase II), which has been designed to the initiative of the City of Belgrade.

In that way, new surfaces for future investments will be created alongside the exit roads. Namely, few hundreds of hectares of former agricultural land will be used for construction of production capacities, educational institutions, technology parks, etc.

Changes and supplements to the General Plan have been brought in accord with the large city projects in the domain of infrastructure and road network.

However, this Draft does not include individual initiatives for the change of purpose of the parcels owned by concrete users. These requests will be included in the Changes and supplements to General Land-utilization Plan – phase III.

Draft changes and supplements to General Land-utilization Plan will be on public display between 9 AM and 3 PM in the period January 8 - February 6, 2009, in the building of the City Administration, 43/45 27. Marta Street (Hall 2 on the ground floor).
