Association of Banks of Serbia in cooperation with Italians – quicker development of Serbian financial market

The Association of Banks of Serbia has announced today (January 12, 2009) that it agreed to start cooperation with the Association of Banks of Italy for the sake of quicker development of Serbian finance market.

According to the announcement, the cooperation with Italian experts came as the result of today’s visit of the representatives of the Association of Banks of Italy to Belgrade.

Italian delegation was led by the Director General of the Association of Banks of Italy, Giuseppe Zadra, who spoke to the Secretary General of Serbian Association, Veroljub Dugalić, about banking systems of Italy and Serbia and financial markets.

That was the first visit of the representatives of the Association of Banks of Italy to Serbia. The representatives of the Association of Banks of Serbia were the guests of Italy in 2003.

Italian banking groups that operate in Serbia are Intesa Sanpaolo, UniCredit and Findomestic.
