The Japanese household goods store chain Miniso opened its first store in Serbia, located at Belgrade's Stadion Shopping Center, on May 13, the TiMP portal reports.

The first Miniso store in Serbia offers household goods, fashion accessories, cosmetics products, toys, as well as office and digital products.

Miniso features 11 product categories, each with around 5,000 products inspired by Japanese fashion and lifestyle. The main philosophy of this brand is simplicity, nature and good quality of articles.

In addition to Belgrade, the plan is for these stores to also open in Novi Sad, Kragujevac and Nis in 2018, TiMP writes.

Miniso was founded in Japan in 2013 by Japanese designer Miyake Junya and Chinese entrepreneur Ye Guofu. By 2017, they had opened more than 3,000 stores in over 50 countries, among them the USA, Canada, Russia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Malaysia and China. Since last year, the company has also been operating in Europe, with stores opened in Germany, Greece and Romania.
