New automobiles in EU to be equipped with E-call device that activates in case of accident and locates vehicle

All new vehicles that are sold on territory of European Union should be equipped with new security technology until 2009, which is supposed to call ambulance in case of accident and locate the place where the accident takes place. That was agreed on the meeting of European Commission (EC) , automobile industry and countries-members.

This technology got name E-call and, in case of accident, it is activated either automatically or by some of the passengers. (subscribe to Pregled www.pregled.co.yu)
