"Zlatara Majdanpek" for sale on February 20 at starting price of 6.6m EUR

"Zlatara Majdanpek", which is an organizational unit within Metal Processing Industry Majdanpek, will be offered for sale on public auction on February 20th.

In addition to the units for production of jewelry, decorative and chemical products, metallurgy and forging units, administrative building, central warehouse and branch office in Belgrade, the property of "Zlatara Majdanpek" also includes ten outlets at total surface of 625 square meters in several cities in Serbia and in Podgorica, as well as equipment, materials and ready-made products on stock.

The starting price for the entire property is 6.5m EUR and the buyer is obliged to keep 344 workers, which is the current number of workers in Majdanpek-based “Zlatara” after realization of the third social program.

According to the sales contract, the future owner will have to maintain production of jewelry for, at least, five years. Although that factory was designed for former big local market and export deals, everything that has been done so far in the restructuring process and the famous name should increase the chances for successful privatization.
