Hollywood actors in Serbian film about Jasenovac – Government of Serbia ready to set aside up to EUR 20 million for production

The Government of Serbia is ready to finance a film about the killing of Serbs, Jews and Roma in Jasenovac – Novosti learns.

According to the newspaper's sources, the state plans to set aside up to EUR 20 million for the making of a feature film about the infamous concentration camp in the Independent State of Croatia, but also to hire eminent representatives of the world of cinema, including some renowned Hollywood names.

Novosti's sources, close to the government authorities, explain that Serbia has decided to take this step now primarily because it can finally set aside funds for such an ambitious project thanks to the fiscal consolidation, but that the idea has value in itself.
