Farmina opens canned pet food factory - EUR 10 million invested in expanding capacities in Indjija

This Sunday (May 13, 2018), Farmina, a company that specializes in dog and cat food production has opened a new factory for canned pet food manufacturing in Indjija, the company has confirmed for our portal.

New factory occupies space close to the existing dry food manufacturing facility. It has been stated that the new EUR 10 million investments includes expanding capacities of dry food factory and building a new facility for canned pet food production.

- With this investment Farmina enters a new field of canned pet food which in many countries makes more than 50% of the market sales value share. The entire production developed on the gross surface area of about 50,000 m2 and presents an integrated system of canned and dry pet food production.

Farmina Company distributes its products to over 60 countries and has seven production lines in its lineup. Farmina Pet Foods, part of the Farmina Group was founded in 2006 in Serbia and started dry pet food production in 2010.
