Publication of tender for “Samot”, Arandjelovac – 11,85 million euros, starting price

Agency for privatization has announced today (December, 29, 2008) a tender for property sale owned by industrial-mining system, “Samot” from Arandjelovac, by the starting price of one billion dinars, which is 11,85 million euros by today’s exchange rate.

As it stands in the announcement of invitation to participate at this tender, the property being sold is owned by the following companies: “Samot mine”, “Samot thermal built”, “Samot service” and “Samot factory”, all from Arandjelovac, and Samot “Darosava”, as well axploitation rights which “Samot” obtained from the Ministry of mining and energy sector.

Deadline for purchase of tender documentation for 10.000 eur is by February, 27, 2009, and all interested parties should submit obligatory offer for the purchase, by March, 20, 2009, along with auction guarantee of one million euros.

The buyer will have oblige himself to invest in “Samot” at least 5,4 million euros in the next 3 years after signing of the contract, then, to keep the employees of the business system and to accept obligations of the minimum social program.

Condition for participation on this tender is to be involved in the sector of “Samot” activities, either in the mining sector or in production of ceramical products, in the previous three years. And another condition is to have made a profit of 15 million euros.

All companies together have 3,4 million square meters of land, out of which 3,1 million square meters of agricultural land and 341.000 square meters of construction land.

The companies on sale own objects of 77.037 square meters.

According the data from “Samot holding” internet presentation, this business system was founded in 1935 and it manufactures aluminum-sylicate bricks, thermal elements for smelting, elements for chimneys acid proof, isolation elements, as well as stoves, ovens and various decorative products.

According the data from the Agency for business registers, “Samot factory” made a loss of 512,7 million dinars, while “Samot mine” made a 83,3 million dinars loss.

“Samot-Darosava-Partizani” registered 140,7 million dinars loss, “Samot service” was active with 39,64 million dinars loss, and the loss of “Samot thermal built” was 36,83 million dinars.
