Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stated on Friday, April 27, 2018, that the first quarter of the current year had ended with a growth of the gross domestic product (GDP) of 4.5%.

– This is the greatest news citizens of Serbia could hear. This means that there will be a budget surplus at the end of April and that salaries and pensions will be considerably higher – Vucic told the press in Skopje.

He also said that this meant a considerable acceleration of the growth and the progress of Serbia.

– This is significantly above the global average and far above the European and the regional average. I hope that we will keep it above 4% by the end of the year. That would considerably exceed the expectations of the IMF and the World Bank – Vucic said.

In Skopje, Vucic attended the meeting of the leaders of the regional Process Brdo-Brioni.
