Subotica based factory of vagons, “Bratstvo” soon to be a part of “Tatravagonka”

From the next year, Subotica based vagon factory, “Bratstvo” will have a new owner, Slovakian company “Tatravagonka”, also involved in manufacture of vagons.

This purchase provided Slovakian company a majority package of shares, and used as a reason to pay off all salaries left from September and October, because of which the workers were on several accounts on strike, at “Bratstvo”.

Considering the fact that Subotica’s company was active with losses, estimated to be more than 7 million euros, further production in “Bratstvo” practically depends on investments by the new owner. It is expected that “Tatravagonka” will move a part of its production to Subotica’s factory.
