New railway schedule in Serbia - 441 trains per day

Public company, "Railways of Serbia" has started today (December, 14th, 2008), with application of the new train schedule which includes 441 trains on daily basis, as it was stated by the General Manager of the company, Milovan Markovic.
New line was introduced from Belgrade to Prague, through Budapest and Bratislava, instead of Belgrade-Vienna line. Markovic said that passengers for Vienna would be able to make a transfer in Budapest for the train to their destination, adding that trains which had been so far on the rail from Belgrade to Ljubljana would in future prolong their track to Filah, on the border with Austria.
According to his words, Belgrade-Thessaloniki line will have except from the evening train, another departure in 7.50 in the morning, and during the summer months, there will also be introduced direct lines from Prague and Moscow to Thessaloniki, through Belgrade. There will be 60 international trains daily, and 381 in domestic transport, out of which 91 will be trains of the city railway "Beovoz" which is 3 more than now. The new schedule will be applied from December, 12th, 2008.
