The Chinese Southeast European Business Association (CSEBA) is organizing the Silk Road Tourism Conference in Dubrovnik from April 24 through 26, in cooperation with the company Meritum Komunikacije, the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC), the City of Dubrovnik, the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian National Tourist Board and the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism of Montenegro.

During the three-day conference, special focus will be placed on the topics of nautical, healthcare and cultural tourism. The plans of SRCIC in the region, as well as the operations of the Silk Road International Development Fund, which will soon invest in several countries of the region, will be presented.

As the organizers say, with this gathering, the Silk Road Tourism Conference is becoming the biggest and most important business event connecting the head Chinese businessmen with those in the region, to the end of strengthening the cooperation in tourism and the accompanying activities.

The importance of this gathering is also confirmed by the fact that, in addition to representatives of the business sector from Croatia and the region, the conference is also attended by the biggest Chinese tour-operators and interested investors, representatives of SRCIC, which connects around a hundred of chambers of commerce on the Silk Road, as well as all other participants in tourist activities.

The conference is to be attended by Wang Shuai, founder and president of iYAT, one of the biggest Chinese nautical companies, which promotes luxury tourist packages for Chinese boaters in the world with its 10,000 yachts. Shuai is coming to Croatia and Montenegro this year to expand cooperation with local tourist companies.

– Along with esteemed Chinese and regional businessmen, our guests will also be the highest representatives of the Silk Road Chamber of International Commerce (SRCIC), of which CSEBA has recently been a full member. This is a business club whose activities strengthen the exchange between western countries and China and help speed up business processes in order to strengthen investments and expand operations and stimulate the arrival of Chinese tourists to the Adriatic region – says Mario Rendulic, chairman of the Presidency of CSEBA.

The association points out that they decided to organize such an important business gathering due to the success of the first Silk Road Tourism Workshop, held in early February at Krapinske Toplice, as well as the strong investment impulse expected, especially after the recent decision to have the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) build the Peljesac Bridge.

The organizers also invite tourism agencies and companies from Serbia to contribute to improving the quality of cooperation and tourism and building better relations between tourist workers from the region and their Chinese colleagues with their presence.
