Provincial Government to present economic potentials of Vojvodina at investment forum in Dubai

The president of the Provincial Government of Vojvodina, Igor Mirovic, is attending the eighth annual investment forum held from April 9 through 11 in Dubai, which has brought together representatives of 140 countries.

The topic of this year's investment forum is the connecting of developed and growing markets through partnerships for an inclusive growth and sustainable development, and Mirovic is attending the event at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and ruler of the Emirate of Dubai.

The Annual Investment Forum (AIM) is the leading platform for foreign direct investments (FDI) and the biggest global investment gathering of the leaders of corporations, businessmen, entrepreneurs and regional and international investors, the Provincial Government announced.

On the margins of the forum, Mirovic met with the UAE Minister of Economy, Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori. They discussed the possibilities of investments by companies from the UAE in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, especially in the field of transport.

It was said during the meeting that the economic cooperation between the two countries was good, but that there was room for intensification and expansion.

Mirovic invited investors from the UAE to invest in Serbia.

– The participation in this investment forum provides considerable possibilities for promoting our country's economy and finding potential investors – Mirovic said.

The director of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Nikola Zezelj, and the adviser to the president of the Provincial Government, Goran Lazovic, are also visiting Dubai.
