"Delta Generali" to expand to market of Republic of Srpska

Insurance company "Delta Generali" is going to open insurance company in Republic of Srpska at the beginning of year 2009 since, as a regional center within "Generali group", this company is responsible for new investments in the region.
The Director General of "Delta Generali", Nebojša Divljan, said at the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the company that they had opened insurance company in Montenegro in 2008 and that they were still thinking about entering the markets of Albania and Macedonia.
Divljan announced that that company would open its first clinic in Serbia in 2009 since it already cooperated with 180 medical institutions.
- Mid-term strategy of the company anticipates development through introduction of new insurance products and new distribution channels - said he.
According to his words, "Delta Generali" is going to end year 2008 with 8.4 billion RSD worth of premiums (about 108m EUR), which represents the growth by 33%.
- The company has 1.7m clients and 1,930 employees in Serbia - said Divljan.
He pointed out that "Delta holding" did not plan to leave the partnership with Italian company "Generali" in the near future.
President of "Delta holding", Miroslav Mišković, said that the share of "Delta Generali" in the insurance market at the end of year 2008 would amount to 17%.
