(Dragoljub Vukadinovic handing over three envelopes to Aleksandar Markovic) At the proposition of the company's president, the Supervisory Board reached the decision to appoint Aleksandar Markovic as new director general of Metalac Gornji Milanovac on March 30.

As the company announced, Markovic has 25 years of professional and managerial experience in various positions within Metalac, including 12 years in the position of the director of Metalac Posudje, from where he comes to the head of the company.

Markovic signed the appointment contract today, on which occasion the president of the company, Dragoljub Vukadinovic, symbolically handed over three envelopes to the new director general in the presence of the management, expressing the wish for there never to be a need to open them due to a crisis. It was only the last one that was revealed to say: “Write three new envelopes and hand them over to the new director general”.

– I am happy that Metalac can truly pick from a pool of equally capable people. I believe that the team is above an individual and that each manager depends primarily on the quality and the cooperation within his own team. For two more years, I will continue closely monitoring the operations and providing support, as I have always done. You know that, to me, some of the most important criteria are justice, honesty, personal integrity and, of course, the company's balance sheets – Dragoljub Vukadinovic said while handing over the envelopes to Markovic.

Markovic is succeeded in the position of the head of Metalac's biggest company, Metalac Posudje, by Stojan Slovic, former director of Metalac Market, who is in turn succeeded by Damir Pehrat, former commercial director.

The Supervisory Board of Metalac also appointed the following members of the Executive Board for a period of two years: Aleksandar Markovic, Radmila Trifunovic, Vojin Vukadinovic, Goran Mijatovic and Stojan Slovic.

A development strategy for Metalac a.d. and its subsidiaries has also been adopted. Taking 2018 as the basis, it is said, the consolidated operating income by the end of 2021 is planned to grow by 16%, the earnings are to grow by 5% each year, and the consolidated profit should amount to EUR 6.6 million, 20% more than is planned for 2018.

– In this period, Metalac will make project investments of EUR 10 million, and all other strategic aspects also lead to a sustainable growth and development of the company and, finally, to maintaining the excellent credit rating of Metalac Group – the press release says.

The Day of Metalac – the company's 59th anniversary – was also marked today.
