Volksbank’s profit - 12m EUR

Volksbank in Serbia has announced that its profit at the end of September amounted to 12m EUR, which is twice as much as at the end of year 2007.

Total assets of the bank were increased from 623m to 729m EUR, while the value of invested deposits grew by 50%, 83% of which are the deposits laid by the citizens.

According to the announcement, the President of the Executive Board of Volksbank, Aksel Humel, is satisfied with the bank’s operations since it increased the amount of approved loans by 25% and the assets by over 17% in the first nine months of this year.

Number of clients grew by about 20,000, while the number of employees was increased by 100, so that this bank now has 500 employees in 26 offices in Serbia.
