"Topolino" for certain - "Fiat" not to give up plans in Serbia

The highest representatives of company "Fiat" underlined that the Italian company was not going to give up its plans in Serbia at any moment and that the first vehicle that would be assembled by company "Fiat automobili Srbija" would be a small city four-seat A-class car "Topolino".

According to the plan, between 150,000 and 200,000 such automobiles will be produced every year and 95% of production will be exported to Western European market.

Maximum production of 200,000 automobiles will be reached if Russian market opens for this factory.

Few hundreds of workers in "Zastava's" automobile factory are intensively working on removal of old equipment. The halls of "Karoserija" are already half-empty, which is the best proof of the ongoing serious preparations for installation of new equipment.

Production of "punto" was discontinued three weeks ago because this assembly line is in the vicinity of the lines for production of "101", "yugo" and "florida", which are being removed at the moment.
