EBRD plans new additional capitalization of Komercijalna Banka

The CEO of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)
for Serbia, Hildegard Gacek, said that that financial institution had plans for new additional capitalization of Komercijalna Banka.
At the presentation of the Transition Report 2008 in Belgrade, Ms Gacek did not specify how big the increase in capital of Komercijalna Bank would be and when it was going to happen.
EBRD first additionally capitalized Komercijalna Banka with 70m EUR in 2006 and, thus, became the minority owner of 25% of stocks of that bank. According to the data provided by the Central Securities Registry, Republic of Serbia owns 42.6% of capital in Komercijalna Banka.
