Prvi Partizan Uzice realizes profit of EUR 6 million in 2017 – Export to America reduced

The arms factory in Uzice, which sells commercial ammunition in over 100 states of the world, sold less than it planned to in one of its biggest foreign markets last year.

Each country is experiencing certain changes in the market, caused by the governments and their policies, says the general manager of Prvi Partizan, Dobrosav Andric, as reported by Blic.

– America is a typical example. Last year, there was a slight drop in exports with the election of Trump and the formation of the new administration. It’s not that they’ve changed their approach to armament, it’s that the purchasers have changed their philosophy – Andric stated.

He says that the company had a good profit of around EUR 6 million last year, but that the plan was slightly bigger.

– When I look at the value of the realization of the export, which is USD 80 million, the plan is fulfilled, but if we express this in dinars, it’s slightly below. Prvi Partizan largely operates in the dollar area. Last year, there was a dramatic drop in the value of the dollar, which ended up at an average of 102 dinars, which means that each earning was lower by 16 dinars – Andric says and announced the beginning of the construction of a new factory in the Dautovac neighborhood near Uzice.
