Gorenje gets four strategic partnership offers?

The Slovenian producer of house appliances Gorenje had received four offers for a potential strategic partnership until Wednesday, March 7, 2018, when the deadline for the collection of non-binding bids expired, Seebiz reports, citing Radio-Television of Slovenia.

As RTV Slovenia reported, all the bidders are active in the house appliance industry and come from Asia.

Gorenje is now to examine the bids, following which the potential investors will be invited for due diligence. After this news was published, Gorenje stock went up 8.56% at the Ljubljana Stock Exchange.

In early February, the Finance newspaper published that the biggest Chinese producer of house appliances, Haier, was already carrying out due diligence in Gorenje and its subsidiaries, that is, that they had a consulting company provide the service for them.

Gorenje neither confirmed nor denied this. Among other Chinese companies interested in Gorenje, Finance mentioned the eighth biggest Chinese producer of house appliances Meiling, as well as Midea Group.
