These are Sila aircraft, made for a purchaser in Chicago, where they will arrive on March 24.
Milorad Matic, owner and director of the company, said that the export of the planes to the American market was one of the biggest successes in his life.
– For the first time in the history of Serbian aviation, a local product will be exported to the American market. The airplanes will be listed in the regular civil aviation register and used for aircrew education – Matic told the press.
He added that the aircraft would also be exhibited in the biggest trade fair in the world, to take place from April 10 through 15, in Florida.
Sila 600 has a capacity of 1,300 cubic meters, 100 horsepower and can develop speed of up to 220 km/h. It spends 12 to 18 liters of unleaded petrol per hour, depending on the manner and the height of the flight. The airplane can travel the distance from Jagodina to Belgrade in 35 minutes.
