Negotiations about energy agreement with Russia commenced

- The negotiations between the Government of Serbia and the representative of "Gazprom" about energy arrangement with Russia commenced on November 13 and they are going to last for the next few days - said the people in the Ministry of Energy and Mining.

- The Adviser to the President of the Administrative Board of "Gazprom", Dmitrij Mališev, who represents the Russian side, has arrived in Belgrade and the negotiations go as planned - said the people in that Ministry who did not want to give any more details.


The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia and Minister of Economy and Regional Development, Mlađan Dinkić, said on November 12 that the reply to the official letter that he and Prime Minister had sent to "Gazprom" had not arrived yet. That letter included the draft contract related to Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS), gas storage in Banatski Dvor and gas pipeline.

He pointed out that there had been no negotiations with Russian side about energy agreement over the last two weeks, from the moment the draft contract had been sent.
