"Zdravlje Actavis" from Leskovac to dismiss 194 workers - workers to get 300 EUR per year of work

Pharmaceutical company "Zdravlje Actavis" from Leskovac announced on November 13 that it would have to dismiss 194 workers from non-profitable sector in order to preserve business stability and ensure further development of the company.

The workers are offered severance pay in amount of 300 EUR per year of work.

According to the company's announcement that followed the protest organized by about 50 workers, the workers who left the company voluntarily during the last few years were getting 700 EUR per year of work.

It is pointed out that the dismissal is in accordance with the company's Regulations, which has been in effect since the five-year privatization contract that was signed in February 2003 expired.
