New tender for sale of Automobile factory Priboj

Privatization Agency announced the tender today (November 13, 2008) for sale of 86.5% of the capital of Automobile Factory Priboj (FAP) in restructuring.

The deadline for submission of requests for purchase of tender documentation is December 19th, while the deadline for submission of obligatory bids and the guarantee worth 100,000 EUR is January 23rd.

All the companies that have been dealing with production or sale of trucks, buses, trolleybuses and other similar types of motor vehicles over the last three years or longer and registered incomes of over 10m EUR in 2007 can participate in the tender.

The investors who are in the business for minimum three years and have the assets of over 50m EUR or registered incomes of minimum 15m EUR in 2007 can also participate in the tender.

The first tender for sale of FAP at the of the last year was declared unsuccessful because not even one obligatory bid was submitted and the tender documentation was bought only by Czech company "Tatra".

FAP used to the be the biggest manufacturer of economic vehicles in the Balkans. This company, which has 1,518 workers, ended last year with losses.
