- Serbia was received into the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) on November 12th as the first country from southeast Europe in this organization - said Božidar Đelić, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia for European Integrations and the Minister of Science and Technology Development, and pointed out that it was the great day for Serbian science and computing sector.

Serbia is the second country from east Europe (the first is Poland) to become a member of that 14-member association.

He said that that represented "strong message to our software companies that Serbia has serious intentions to join the advanced computing revolution of the 21st century", which would contribute to development of our computer infrastructure.
