Jugoremedija not attractive without licenses – Sale of Zrenjanin-based pharmaceutical plant falls through

As nobody had bought the documentation, the announced bid opening didn't take place and the sale of the Zrenjanin-based pharmaceutical plant Jugoremedija was therefore unsuccessful, Novosti reports, reminding that the company was offered as a legal entity at the estimated price of nearly RSD 3.9 billion.

– I will call a new sale. The price will be defined by the conditions at the moment this happens – stated Radovan Savic, the bankruptcy supervisor.

Last year's attempt at the sale of the ruined pharmaceutical company from the town on the Begej was stopped by the Commercial Court.

Due to the complaint made by the creditors over the fact that the sale didn't include the licenses and the intellectual property, the most valuable part of Jugoremedija's property, the court terminated the ad. The new ad featured, along with the real estate and the equipment, the court procedure pertaining to the lawsuit of Jugoremedija against Novi Sad's Union Medic, former lessee of the facility in Zrenjanin, which refuses to return the permits for the marketing of 22 medical products.

– What we've been warning about for a long time has proven to be true – nobody needs Jugoremedija without the licenses – Vladimir Pecikoza, Chairman of the Board of Creditors, told Novosti.
