Cypriot company "East point" opened factory for production of eco-fuel in Boljevac

Cypriot company "East point", of which President is Serbian businessman Zoran Drakulić, opened the factory for production of eco-fuel from biomass yesterday (November 11, 2008) in Boljevac.

This is the first factory of the kind in Serbia and it will be producing wood pellets. The unit is worth about 4m EUR and about 20 people will be working in it.

- In this way, the conditions are created for further development of bio-renewable energy sources through development of new capacities, which is the pipeline for the next few years because the large quantities of wooden mass in Serbia - Drakulić pointed out.

This and future projects will contribute to recovery of local wood-processing industry and they will create conditions for Serbia to become a significant user and exporter of eco-fuel.
