Negotiations between the Government and the representatives of the International Monetary Fund are still underway and they will last prior to Thursday (November 13, 2008).
The negotiations with the International Monetary Fund were first extended until Tuesday, but, because of Prime Minister Cvetković's visit to Greece, the talks were supposed to end yesterday. However, the delegation of IMF will stay in Serbia until Thursday.
There are still no information on whether the Government will accept IMF's suggestions concerning the one-time 10% raise in pensions and freezing of salaries in public companies.
- We will need to find a way to save money. The two of the subjects of these talks are the most important to us - one is the budget restrictivity, while the other is the new arrangement with IMF - said the people from the Government and explained that the details would be known once the negotiations were over.
