Modern tobacco purchase center opened in Šabac

Company "Alliance One Tobacco" opened a modern tobacco purchase center today (November 10, 2008) in Šabac. Reconstruction of this center cost over 1m USD.

The company deals with production and purchase of tobacco from local manufacturers for the needs of company "DIN Philip Morris".

- The facility was opened after three-month reconstruction and adaptation of former factory "Obnova" - "Alliance" announced.

- We got bigger storage capacities with the reconstruction of the existing facility, and the purchased tobacco will be controlled in better conditions. The new facility is completely computerized, which enables much quicker purchase of tobacco - said Dušan Cmiljić, the Director General of "Alliance" in Serbia.

He added that the people in the company were satisfied with the dynamics of the purchase in 2008.

- The new center made our job easier, while the cooperation with about 1,000 local tobacco manufacturers is even better than in 2007 - said he.
