Batajnica interchange on Novi Sad highway no sooner than 2019 – Invitation for preparation of project documentation soon

Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic visited the location in which the Batajnica interchange is to be built, together with the directors of Corridors of Serbia and Roads of Serbia, Zoran Babic and Zoran Drobnjak, on February 14.

Mihajlovic said that the Batajnica interchange was important, both for the local residents, who will get a modern traffic route facilitating transport towards Belgrade, Novi Sad and Zemun, and the future investors.

She pointed out that Roads of Serbia would open a public invitation for the preparation of project-technical documentation soon and that this would be followed by the selection of the contractor and the completion of the job in 2019.

– The preparation of the project-technical documentation, worth RSD 10 million, will be financed by Roads of Serbia from regular funds, whereas the works will be financed from the EBRD funds left over from the construction of the corridor – Mihajlovic said.

She reminded that the works had not started earlier because the issue of expropriation had needed to be solved first.
