RTL bought 49% of stocks of TV "Avala"?

The Council of the Republic Broadcasting Agency (RRA) gave consent on November 7 for the change in ownership structure of TV station "Avala". In the future, 49% of ownership should belong to German TV station RTL.

Goran Karadžić, the Deputy President of RRA Council, pointed out that that body gave only consent in principal for the change of founder, while the partners are obliged to submit the contract that confirms that arrangement.

According to the data provided by the Business Registry Agency, the majority owner of TV station "Avala" is Danko Đunić with the share of 45.65%, "Tehno progres" owns 30.68%, "Media plus" has 14.95%, while Željko Mitrović owns 4.95%.
