Sid to resolve issue of cargo transport – Preparation of project documentation for bypass route begins

The Municipality of Sid has initiated preparations for the construction of a bypass route.

The company Sidprojekt has started preparing the project-technical documentation for the project of increased maintenance of the state road through Sid, as well as the construction of a bypass route around the town.

The Municipality of Sid is the investor, and the project will be realized in cooperation with co-investors, the PE Roads of Serbia and the Capital Investment Directorate of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

As the website of the Municipality of Sid reports, the bypass route around Sid would connect the state roads IIA 120 and IIA 121 and solve the problem of intensive transit traffic of heavy trucks through Sid by having vehicles redirected from border-crossing points to highway E-70.

Its construction would considerably unload state and municipal roads, while at the same time increasing the safety of all participants in the traffic.
