Unsuccessful tender for "Jat tehnika"

- Tender for sale of "Jat tehnika" was unsuccessful because there was no bids for purchase of 70% of capital of that company - Privatization Agency confirmed today.

The tender for sale of "Jat tehnika" was announced on June 16, and the deadline for submission of obligatory bids was extended prior to October 27.

According to the information provided by the Trade union of air mechanics, the tender documentation for sale of 70% of capital of "Jat tehnika", which deals with maintenance and overhaul of aircrafts, was purchased by four foreign companies.

"Jat tehnika" was separated from JAT in 2005, and it is 100% owned by the state. The company's capacity is the overhaul of 100 aircrafts a year. The company registered incomes worth 22m EUR in 2007, while its profit amounted to 31,000 EUR. The plan for this year is that the incomes reach about 45m EUR.
