VUCIC: Construction of Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Dedinje 2 an option

(Aleksandar Vucic) Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced on February 1 the possibility of the construction of Dedinje 2.

– I don't want to promise something we won't be able to fulfill, but I do believe that we will have the strength to start building Dedinje 2 – he said following the celebration of the 40th anniversary of the Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases Dedinje.

He pointed out that the state would continue investing in healthcare thanks to its good public finances.

As he noted, this is supported by the fact that a surplus of 22.1 billion was realized in January, instead of the projected 13 billion and that a part of VAT returns, supposed to be made in January, was made in January instead.

The director of the institute, Milovan Bojic, praised the government's efforts to revitalize the health sector and emphasized the fact that more was invested in healthcare at the moment than in the preceding 50 years.

He said that he hoped that the employees' enthusiasm would lead to the laying down of the foundation stone for Dedinje 2 in spring.

The medical doctors at Dedinje have performed extremely complicated surgical procedures recently.
