This was discussed during the recent visit of German Ambassador Axel Dittmann to the Municipality of Priboj, and another topic of this meeting was the development cooperation of Germany and Serbia.
Cooperation with GIZ and the German development bank KfW in key projects, such as the switching to biomass, was highlighted as the best solution for local cooperation, the municipality’s website reports.
Let us remind that Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antic signed agreements of the loan and the donations with representatives of KfW and the Swiss government in June 2017. The agreements envisage the switching from fossil fuels to RES, namely, biomass, in 10 heating plants in Serbia.
In addition to the heating plant in Priboj, the project entails facilities in Mali Zvornik, Nova Varos, Novi Pazar, Prijepolje, Bajina Basta, Valjevo, Kladovo, Majdanpek and Becej.
