Serbia and Qatar to enhance cooperation in air transport and infrastructure

Serbian Minister of Construction, Transport and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic discussed the signing of an agreement on air transport and infrastructure with Ambassador of Qatar to Serbia Mubarak bin Fahad Al-Thani on February 1.

– The relations between Serbia and Qatar are constantly improving, as is the cooperation with the national airline of Qatar. Serbia has approved seven direct lines a week between Belgrade and Doha, and I believe that we will soon sign an agreement on air transport as well, which would further strengthen the cooperation between the two countries in this field – Mihajlovic said, as reported on the website of the Government of Serbia.

She accepted the official invitation by the ambassador of Qatar to take part in the Doha forum, a political and economic conference which brings together politicians, business people, representatives of the academic community, experts and the civil society from all over the world, to be held in December, the ministry announced.

– I believe that the Doha forum will be a good opportunity for the signing of the air transport agreement between Serbia and Qatar and bilateral meetings with the competent ministries, to the end of further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries – the ambassador of Qatar said.
