Greece interested in exploitation of oil shales in Serbia

Serbian Minister of Energy and Mining, Petar Škundrić, said that Greece was very interested in cooperation with Serbia in field of energy.

After the meeting with Petros Doukas, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Greece, Škundrić said to the press that that country was interested in developing one 400 MW power facility in Serbia, as well as in exchange of electric energy and trade in electricity.

- Greeks expressed interest in exploitation of oil shales, as well as in joint use of renewable energy sources - said Serbian Minister of Energy.

Škundrić added that Greek side suggested that we should receive their experts and enable them to get familiar with the projects that the Ministry of Energy should implement within the next few years in Serbia.
