Public invitation for projects from program for cross-border cooperation between Serbia and BiH at the end of November - EU grants 1.9m EUR


- Public invitation for the projects from 1.9m EUR worth of program for cross-border cooperation between Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is financed from the pre-accession funds of European Union, will be announced in one month - Mirjana Nožić, the Head of the Department of Cross-border Cooperation within the Ministry of Finance, announced yesterday (October 29, 2008) in Užice.
At the meeting with the representatives of the municipalities of the Zlatibor, Kolubara, Srem and Mačva region, which was attended by the representatives of the Directorate for European Integrations of BiH and the border municipalities of that country, Ms Nožić said that "Serbian side" should get 1.1m EUR from that program.
The funds from this program will also be granted to "non-profitable" organizations in the border areas that manage to find business partners on the other side of the border. The grants range between 15,000 and 50,000 EUR for "small" projects and between 50,000 and 300,000 EUR for more significant ones.
In addition to this cross-border cooperation project with BiH, the funds have also been approved for cooperation with Croatia (1m EUR) and Montenegro (500,000 EUR).
