USAID invested 350,000 USD in development of tourism in Prijepolje

- The US Agency for International Aid (USAID) invested over 350,000 USD through the economic security program in development of private tourist offer and tourist potential of Prijepolje - said Michael Pilsberry, the Manager of that program.

He said at the presentation of the economic-tourist potentials of that city that the aim of the program was to improve competitiveness of the prospective small and mid-sized enterprises and tourist organizations in Prijepolje.

- USAID's economic security program helps Prijepolje in its efforts to strategically promote the region, in association with the local self-management, as an attractive tourist destination - said Pilsberry.

The Program backed organization of various types of training courses and study travels for the representatives of tourist organizations and all those interested in development of rural tourism, as well as their participation in the international tourism fair and organization of important events, such as European Rafting Cup and opening of the Museum of Vlade Divac.

The promotion took place in the representatives of local self-government and non-government sector and tourist workers from Prijepolje, Priboj and Nova Varoš.
